Specify who owns the website content, template, custom code, source assets, domain, licences and third-party integrations, plus migration and termination rights.

Hosting and subscriptions

Define recurring charges, renewal dates, notice periods, price changes, support coverage, service exclusions and cancellation processes.

Digital content sales

If academic customers later sell courses or e-books, define merchant-of-record responsibilities, payment processing, digital delivery, refunds, taxes and intellectual-property permissions.

Privacy and photographs

Specify permissions for portraits, academic profiles, publications, social posts and any externally sourced material.

Consumer and business customers

Check applicable UK consumer and business-to-business requirements, cancellation rights, pre-contract information, VAT disclosures and accessibility obligations.
